SIMPLY AFTERCARE, THE STEAM WAY!

Afterschool enrichment is a supervised STEAM program that youth regularly attend after regular school hours when classes are not in session. They mostly occur during after school hours between 3:00pm-6:30pm.

Children can expect to interact with age appropriate materials and explore more in-depth fun STEAM challenges, which feels like games themselves. Children are encouraged to unleash their imaginations to run wild; giving them the freedom to create anything they can think of. From the characters they play to various artistic creative expression, engagement, and project-based learning is solely based on your child’s imagination!

SPECIAL PROGRAMS

We offer a range of options to expose children to different interest.

5 days a week = $80 per week.

SPARK N’ SPRINT (PK3 - 8th): Sports + movement + STEAM = ACTIVE HAPPY KIDS! Both Competitive & non competitive gross motor skill development. (Ex: Flag Football, Basketball, Kickball, Ultimate Series_freeze tag, frisbee, dodgeball, etc…)

• THE MESSY APRON –iCook Global Culinary Arts (PK3 - 8th): Hands-on cooking classes that build life skills and cultural awareness.

• URBAN NATURE DETECTIVES: (PK3 - 8th): Urban gardening adventures.

• TINKERS TOOLBOX FAB LAB: (PK3 - 8th): Student led creative up-cycling and hands-on learning through experiments, crafting, engineering, robotics fun.

Partnerships with DC community partners promote inclusion & exposure to STEAM rich experiences that combine action, reflection, and real-life application. Our differentiated instructional approach includes a variation of STEAM related task that promotes collaboration and brainstorming among peers. Our workshops will surely spark interest in all types of learners.
